The river Cheremosh tore down the pipeline

In Ivano-Frankivsk region, nine localities remain without gas because of damage to the air crossing of the gas pipeline branch through the Cheremosh river near the village of Zavallya. On 25 June, announced the press service of “Operator of the gas transportation system of Ukraine”.
“The restoration of the pipeline across the river Cheremosh and liquidation of consequences of the accident will begin as soon as the storm dies down. Due to the prolonged heavy rains and significant flooding remains restricted movement on roads and bridges in the region”, – stated in the message.
Heavy rainfall threatened flooding of the gas distribution station in Mogilev-Podolsky Vinnytsia region, added the company.
Due to the intense rain that fell in the West of Ukraine, there was flooding of roads and households in five regions: Ivano-Frankivsk, Transcarpathian, Chernivtsi, Lviv and Ternopil. The most difficult situation in Ivano-Frankivsk region, where they remain flooded more than 9 thousand houses, damaged more than 600 km of roads, has informed on 25 June, the regional Department of the State service for emergency situations.
The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine on June 25 was allocated to eliminate the consequences of emergencies 672 million UAH.
