The government is doing everything possible to pay off sudaljenosti on a salary to miners, which have been accumulating for many years. This was stated by Deputy Chairman of the Office of the President of Ukraine Yulia Kovaliv broadcast talk-show “Freedom of speech Savik Shuster” on TV channel “Ukraine” in the evening of 10 July.
“Most of the debt, which today is, is the one that has formed since 2008, 2009, 2010. Let’s face it, mining industry was plundered in this country for decades. Not a single Ukrainian oligarch, a businessman, and worst of all, the bandit earned honest work of miners,” said she.
Now the old miners pay accumulated wage arrears, said Kovaliv.
“This year in the budget and will be allocated at least 1 billion UAH to the miners were paid on time,” he added.
According to her, the miners need to understand how and where they will sell their products.
On June 30 in Kiev began an indefinite protest of miners from different regions of Ukraine – from public and private mines. The miners are demanding repayment to employees of state-owned mines of salary arrears, the withdrawal of industry from the crisis and the resignation of the responsible for the crisis officials, in particular the people’s Deputy from “public Servants” Andrew Gerus.
The miners of the state mines “Hope” had already protested under the President’s Office last week. To him came the President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky and promised to “deal with “Centrenergo”. The public company where management is associated with businessman Igor Kolomoisky, paid the miners of 8.75 million UAH, which, according to the “Censor.NO” is about 0.5% of the debt mines on the part of “Centrenergo”.
March 4, speaking in the Verkhovna Rada, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky called “the pain” of the situation with the miners and the coal industry.
