Carlos Takam took his chance, replacing the battle of Jarrell Miller.

In the night from 9 for July 10 Carlos Takam (39-5-1, 28 KO) fought against Jerry Forrest (26-4, 20 KO) won the fight.

Takam fought defensively, using good footwork. Rival, in turn, was a puncher, but his left hook to the opponent not up, as he always was in motion.

After the seventh round, when the Cameroonian was able to hit Forrest with a right and left hook, he had problems with his right eye. From this point Takam was no longer moving as fast as in the first half of the match. But despite this, Forrest, though, and attacked, but to simply Outbox Takama couldn’t.

The Cameroonian won the decision of judges with the score 98:92, 97:93, 96:94.

Note that Takam this fight was the replacement of Jarrell Miller, in the body which was found a prohibited substance and was suspended from the fight.
