Saakashvili: Ukraine’s Success is important not only to Ukrainians, but to all other peoples of the former Soviet Union

The ex-President of Georgia Mikhail Saakashvili will return to Georgia to occupy any post. About this he wrote in Facebook.

That’s why I’ll never leave Ukrainians alone in their fight against the thieves, which is working on the success of Putin’s plan!” he said.

Saakashvili added that Ukraine struggles including the independence of Georgia.

“In Georgia, I support the candidate from wide public coalition, and in Ukraine will continue to fight for that, to Ukrainians living better than the Swiss”, he concluded.

Saakashvili was President of Georgia in 2004-2007 and from 2008 to 2013 years. In the country against him openly four cases.

On 28 June it became known that a court in Tbilisi recognized Saakashvili is guilty in the case about beating of the Deputy of Parliament Valery Gelashvili in 2005. The policy is in absentia sentenced to six years imprisonment and two years and three months, deprived of the right to occupy certain positions.

Saakashvili is the leader of the Georgian party “United national movement”.

After the expulsion of Ukraine from February 2018 he lives in the Netherlands.

In April, Saakashvili declared intention to return to Georgia, but has not said whether to participate in the October presidential elections in Georgia.
