Poland has raised the tariff for gas transit through the gas pipeline Yamal-Europe
The rate of inlet gas to the Polish gas transmission network increased by 10-13%, and at the point of exit by 0.1%.
Poland raised tariffs for gas transmission via the gas pipeline Yamal-Europe. This is stated in the message of the Polish office of energy regulation (URE), published 5 Jun.
It is noted that the head of the URE has approved the tariff for transmission services of natural gas in 2021 according to the Polish section of the transit gas pipeline Yamal-Europe owned by EuRoPol GAZ.
Tariff for gas operator Gaz-System the input of gas to Poland increased by 10-13% depending on the type of fuel. The tariff at the exit points would increase by 0.1%.
As indicated in the management of the rate hike “is the result of significant strategic investments implemented by Gaz-System, which directly affect the energy security of Poland.”
For EuRoPol GAZ, the new tariffs provide for an increase in average payments for transportation services of gas with a high methane content by 16.5% compared to the current tariff of this enterprise.
Both tariff was approved for the period from 1 January to 31 December 2021.
Earlier it was reported that the transit of Russian gas via the gas pipeline Yamal-Europe fell sharply because of lower demand in Europe.
