A person who July 25, jumped on the hood of the car in which the ex-President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko drove away from the building of the State Bureau of investigation (RRT) in Kiev after the interrogation, is a veteran of the regiment “Azov” Nikita Makeev.

Makeev in a video in Facebook confirmed that the incident was the ex-President was involved it.
“I’m the one who’s “attacked” Poroshenko. Unfortunately, I failed to ask the question to him personally. But as you can see, I’m not hiding from anyone, in contrast to the cowardly Poroshenko. Today’s move is my personal position,” he wrote.
According to the veteran, he brought with teammates substandard body armor with the intention to wear it for Poroshenko.
“Moreover, it is my personal position… I wanted to pay him back for all those five years of humiliation that he is using his players in the President’s Administration and appointees to the SCS [national migration service] has made in relation to foreign volunteers, promising them citizenship, but instead running through the nine circles of bureaucratic hell”, – said Makeev.
He promised Poroshenko that he will meet with his sister and justice.

On 18 July the President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky has signed a decree granting Nikita Makeeva Ukrainian citizenship.
In September 2018, he told “BBC News Ukraine” that came from Russia to Ukraine in July 2014 due to “an acute sense of justice,” took part in the fighting in Donbas in the winter of 2014-2015.
