The national Bank has partnered with a global company security features Crane Currency in the field of manufacturing of banknotes. This will allow Ukrainian banknote-mint to accept foreign orders.

The Chairman of the National Bank of Ukraine Yakov Smoliy and President of the Crane Currency Annemarie Watson signed an agreement on cooperation in the field of manufacturing of banknotes. On Saturday, June 23, the press service of the NBU.

The agreement confirms the common vision of the prospects of future cooperation between the National Bank and Crane Currency.

“National Bank is proud to be such a powerful, global manufacturer of banknote paper, banknotes and security technologies of money as a company to Crane Currency, is interested in cooperation with us . Our mint has a full cycle of manufacturing from design to production of secured papers and printing of banknotes. In cooperation with Crane Currency we are ready to offer all its experience and production capacity for the manufacture of banknotes on behalf of other countries,” – said resin.

The document aims to regulate the business relationship between the National Bank and the company Crane Currency that allows the placing of foreign orders on production capacity of Ukrainian banknote printing and minting works.

At the same time, the main priority for banknote mint is manufacturing of the national currency, banknote paper for her and domestic securities.

Earlier, the NBU issued new coins in denominations of 1, 2, 5 and 10 hryvnia, which will eventually have to replace the banknote.
