National Bank took advantage of the seasonal strengthening of the exchange rate to replenish its international reserves.

The national Bank of Ukraine bought in the interbank market $424,5 million during the week from 22 to 26 June 2020. On Friday, June 26, according to the NBU.

The national Bank sold foreign currency from its reserves on the interbank market during the reporting period. Net purchases rose to $424,5 million compared to $110 million a week earlier.

Since the beginning of the year, the NBU bought on the interbank currency $3 715,1 million and sold $2 793,1 million Thus, from the beginning of 2020, the net purchase of currency by the national Bank amounted to $922 million.

As reported, the national Bank of Ukraine during the working week 15-19 June bought on the interbank currency market at $110 million, almost three times the volume of previous week ($40 million).
