Russia will not make concessions to return to PACE. This was stated by Minister of foreign Affairs Sergey Lavrov at the forum in Berlin.

The head of the German delegation to PACE Andreas Nick asked, what contribution can Russia to return to the Assembly. This Lavrov said, “are You serious?”, that caused laughter in the hall.

“Aggressive anti-Russian minority is trying to make all others obey his line. We know about whom we are talking,” said the Minister of foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation. While Lavrov has accused Britain of seeking to impose other 27 members of the bloc policy of sanctions against Russia.

October 9, Moscow will have the most votes when the PACE will consider the report on credentials and voting rights of national delegations. The results will be adopted a resolution and recommendations to the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe. We are talking about amendments to the regulations, which in the future can return the Russian delegation to the Assembly.

Lavrov added that he hopes to return Russia to the PACE, and expressed willingness to dialogue after that. “We are ready to discuss, Crimea, Ukraine, immigration crisis,” he said.

As you know, now PACE has the right to impose restrictions on rights (sanctions) on the delegation of those countries that violate the principles of the Council of Europe. For this reason, in 2014 and 2015, PACE has limited the rights of the Russian delegation.
