Ukrainian is in the medical unit

Crimean activist Oleksandr Kolchenko, who is serving a sentence in Russia charges of terrorism, 26 June called for the lawyer of the Ural human rights group. About this Facebook said the member of the Public Supervisory Commission of the Chelyabinsk region Tatyana Shchur.
She issued a written “help talk”, which assured the Ukrainian. It says that Kolchenko continues to be in the medical unit of penal colony №6 of Kopeysk of the Chelyabinsk region and takes the food under the supervision of physicians. His weight now is 63 kg, as it was before the hunger strike.
Ukrainian noted that “feels right.”

In may 2014, in Simferopol, was arrested four Pro-Ukrainian activists: Gennadiy Afanasiev, Alexey Chirny, Oleg Sentsov and Kolchenko. In August 2015, a Russian court found them guilty of preparing terrorist acts in Crimea and arson of offices of the two parties in Simferopol.
Afanasyev and Chirny has agreed to cooperate with the investigation and received seven years in prison. Later, the p recanted his previous testimony and said that he had given it under torture. June 14, 2016, he was returned to Ukraine.
Director Sentsov in 2015, was sentenced to 20 years in prison, Kolchenko – to 10 years. Russia’s Supreme court refused to consider an appeal on their sentences. Guilt Sentsov and Kolchenko not recognize.
Russia refuses to extradite Ukraine Sentsov and Kolchenko, as he considers them Russian citizens.
May 14, 2018, the Director announced an indefinite hunger strike. He demanded the release of 64 Ukrainian political prisoners, but in the list are not included.
May 31, Kolchenko went on hunger strike to demand the release of Sentsov. The Director was against this, knowing about the problems of the activist health.
7 Jun Kolchenko stopped the hunger strike after losing 9 kg weight. He was transferred to the medical unit.
On 22 June the prisoner said he wants to meet with the Ukrainian Commissioner for human rights Lyudmila Denisova.
