The Cabinet has restricted the movement of trucks during day time

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine at the meeting on 17 June adopted a decision to restrict the movement of trucks weighing over 24 tons from 20 June to 31 August, the correspondent of the publication “GORDON”.

The Minister of internal Affairs of Ukraine Arsen Avakov, introducing the draft Directive, stated that “Ukravtodor”, the national police and local Executive authorities should “take measures to restrict traffic of vehicles with an actual weight more 24 tonnes and load on axle more than 7 tonnes when the air temperature is above +28 ºC on the roads and streets of settlements from 8.00 to 20.00”.

According to him, from 20 June to 31 August the mobile teams of the state service of transport security, the national police and the security service “will identify violations of the rules of journey of vehicles, weight or size parameters of which exceed normative.”

The decision was made “to prevent the destruction of the covering of roads”.
