Territorial bodies of social protection in Ivano-Frankivsk region begin to accrue material assistance to the affected flood population. This was announced by the Chairman of regional state administration Vitaliy Fedoriv, according to the website of the state administration.
“Last week the region received from the state budget and UAH 480 mln for liquidation of consequences of emergency situations caused by natural elements. Now determined by the stewards and recipients of financial resources, work has begun payment of financial assistance to the affected population,” said Fyodor.
According to him, today completely restored electricity supply in all districts of the region, but still without gas supply there are hundreds of subscribers.
Fedoriv also said that UAH 100 million of this sum will be directed on payments to the population, 120 million UAH – on the reconstruction of destroyed bridges, 10 million UAH – for the objects of social sphere, 30 million UAH on repair of bridges municipal property, UAH 60 million – for coastal protection.
The RSA also noted that the recovery of water protective dams are in the advanced area of the budget will be submitted 136,6 mln.
Due to the intense rain that fell in Western Ukraine in late June, there was flooding of roads and households in five regions: Ivano-Frankivsk, Transcarpathian, Chernivtsi, Lviv and Ternopil. The most difficult situation was in Ivano-Frankivsk region, where three people died.
According to the State service for emergency situations in Ivano-Frankivsk, Chernivtsi, Lviv and Ternopil regions was podtopleny 14 471 house. Data from the Transcarpathian region, where the storm raged, but the situation has stabilized, SSES in daily reports were not included.
Prime Minister Denis Shmyhal said that the current flooding in the Western regions exceeds the scale of the flood of 2008.
According to the head of the Cabinet, people who lost their homes due to flooding, will pay 300 thousand UAH, UAH 50 thousand will be given to families for repairs.
