More than 10 thousand people are in serious condition

As at 24.00 on February 16 in China, the number of deaths from the new coronavirus has reached 1770. According to the State Committee of health of China.

The number of confirmed cases of infection with coronavirus has reached 70 548. 10 844 is already cured and discharged from hospitals, 10 644 are in serious condition.

In Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan was 87 cases.

For the first time a new type of coronavirus causing atypical pneumonia was confirmed on 31 December 2019 in the Chinese city of Wuhan.

On 30 January, the world health organization declared the outbreak of 2019 coronavirus-nCoV in medical emergency situation of international importance.
