The number of cases of measles in Ukraine since the beginning of 2018 as at 28 August was 29,953 thousand, reported by the Center for public health at the Ministry of health of Ukraine.
Most infected people – children (17,708 thousand).
During the reporting period, from complications of measles, died 13 people, including nine children.
The center noted that over the last week, from 21 to 28 August, measles ill 538 (293 of them children), which is 12.5% less than the previous week.

As reported, the Ministry of health in the framework of response activities to the outbreak of measles identified groups (persons over 18 years) of professional risk, which according to epidemic indications will be able to be vaccinated against diseases immunobiological preparations, purchased with funds from the state budget. Among them, in particular, health workers, non-medical employees of health care institutions, employees of educational institutions, students, and law enforcement officials. According to the National immunization schedule, vaccination against measles is to children under 1 year and children six years of age (two doses).
As of August 24, 2018 in the country, there were 777, 908 thousand doses of vaccines.
