The head of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan stated his intention to hold a September 7 meeting of Turkey, Germany, France and Russia on the settlement of the Syrian conflict.
“On 7 September in Istanbul will be a summit of Russia, Germany, France and Turkey, let’s see what we can do,” he said.
Erdogan also said that, in addition to this summit, held a summit of the Russian Federation, Turkey and Iran in Tehran.
“Of course, we will continue our cooperation with Russia out of the summit in Istanbul. After the summits in Sochi and Ankara similar event will be held in Tehran. Then we will have the opportunity to discuss all these issues”, – said the President of Turkey.
Earlier, Erdogan declared about the intention to discuss with Russian President Putin the situation in Syria.
