SBU has confirmed the authenticity of the list published by “Country”

The Internet-the edition “Strenia” appealed to international organisations and ambassadors of the countries “the Big seven” in Ukraine, urging them to pay attention to the actions of the security Service of Ukraine and the Ukrainian authorities in General because of open criminal proceedings into the disclosure of the publication of the “list of 47”. “The struggle of the Ukrainian authorities with freedom of speech continued in criminal proceedings, which was opened by SBU upon publication on the website “Country” list 47 journalists and writers, which allegedly planned to eliminate during the terrorist attacks on the territory of Ukraine. Despite the fact that the SBU has officially confirmed the authenticity of this list. According to the secret service, the “wine” of our publication lies in the fact that this list was published “without the consent of the investigator” and that “the relevant data for displaying the information on the pre-trial investigation and the procedural head is not given,” – the statement says.

The publication believe that the “list of 47” is public important information that the media should convey to the reader.

“The journalists had not violated the laws of Ukraine, as none of us were warned in the manner prescribed by law about nondisclosure of materials of pre-trial investigation into this criminal case. Accordingly, the criminal proceedings under article 387 of the Penal code “disclosure of data of preliminary investigation” may not be commenced against the editors or individual journalists,” – said in the message.

According to journalists of the edition, crime is a classification list of the Ukrainian secret service.

SBU refused to comment on the authenticity of the list. Later, the Agency opened criminal proceedings on the fact of disclosure of information of pre-trial investigation. June 6, SBU has confirmed the authenticity of the list published in the media.

According to Lutsenko, the consequence does not exclude that the list edition of “Country” could not receive from Ukraine.
