President trump and his two advisors criticized on Twitter the Prime Minister of Canada Justin Trudeau because, according to them, he is engaged in “dirty diplomacy”.

President trump also refused to sign the joint communiqué of the “Big seven”. German Chancellor Angela Merkel called the decision of the American President “sobering” and “depressing”.

The text of the joint communiqué was intended to settle disagreements between parties, particularly in regard to international trade.

U.S. trade partners, particularly the EU, Canada, and Mexico, criticized the decision of Donald trump to increase tariffs on imported steel and aluminum .

Who is blaming who and what?

Immediately after the summit Justin Trudeau said at a press conference that he is against the new American tariff, and reiterated that Canada will take retaliatory measures by 1 July.

“The canadian people are polite and reasonable, but patience comes to an end,” said canadian Prime Minister.

In response to Donald trump on the way to Singapore for his meeting with Kim Jong-UN, wrote on Twitter that he was ordered not to support the joint communiqué and addresses the issue of customs duties on cars.

According to the American President, this decision was made due to “incorrect statements” Justin Trudeau, and because, according to Trump, “Canada will charge huge fees to American farmers, workers and companies.”

Chief adviser to trump on Economics, Larry Kudlow and his Advisor on issues of international trade Peter Navarro Sunday morning gave a number of interviews to American TV channels in which they criticized the canadian Prime Minister.

“He literally put us knife in the back,” said Kudlow. Navarro spoke even more sharply: “hell has a special place for leaders who are engaged in dishonest diplomacy with President trump, and then the output is trying to put a knife in the back”.

The Minister of foreign Affairs of Canada, Chrystia Freeland, for his part, said that the decision of the President of trump to raise import duties on canadian steel and aluminium for reasons of national security “is absurd and outrageous for Canadians”.

Canada, recalled Freeland — “the closest and strongest ally of the United States. We can not in principle pose a threat to the national security of the United States, and I know that the Americans know it”.

Other leaders of the “Big seven” is also, apparently, was amazed at the reaction of Donald trump, and stressed that they support the text of the final communiqué.

European Council President Donald Tusk even started trolling the administration in the White house, writing on Twitter: “In Paradise there is a special place for Justin Trudeau. Canada, thank you for the excellent organization of the summit “large live sevens!”.

The President of France Emmanuel macron said that “international cooperation cannot be based on fits of anger and walk-through replicas”.

“Must be serious and worthy of the respect of our peoples. We commit ourselves and deliver on our promises”, — reads the statement of the Elysee Palace.

What is said in the communiqué?

In the joint communiqué after the summit in La-Malba in Quebec, seven countries — Canada, USA, France, UK, Italy, Germany and Japan — have said about the need for “free, fair and mutually beneficial trade,” as well as the importance of fighting protectionism.

In addition, the communiqué also regulates several other issues:

  • Russia. Joint appeal to Moscow to “cease its destabilizing behavior” and to stop supporting the regime of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad
  • Iran. A statement on the need to provide “forever,” the peaceful aspect of the nuclear program of Teheran
  • Climate. The parties agreed to disagree. The United States refused to sign the statement on compliance with the principles of the Treaty of Paris on climate change
  • Female education. All parties agreed to allocate $ 2.9 billion to education of women and girls in the poorest countries of the world
