O’brien: Russia is an important country

The United States will face Russia in the regions where Moscow is “adventurous” policy. About it in conversation with foreign diplomats, said Advisor to the President of the United States Donald trump’s national security, Robert O’brien, February 5, informs “Voice of America”.
“We will stand up to Moscow where we want to be in those regions where the Kremlin is adventurous policy. Therefore, we call upon China, Russia and Cuba to stop interfering in the Affairs of Venezuela, to stop supporting the dictator. It is worth noting that Russia is an important country. This is one of the superpowers. President [Vladimir] Putin has invested a lot of money in the armed forces of Russia to restore Russian power,” said O’brien.
Advisor trump said that Russia “for many years” violated the Treaty of elimination of intermediate and shorter-range missiles (INF Treaty).
“He tied our hands. So while we have not increased our Arsenal, Moscow allegedly did not build the missiles covered by the agreement. In the near future we will begin negotiations about the agreement on arms control and nuclear weapons, which is important for the security of the world, for every country, not just for the United States and Russia”, – said O’brien.
He also added that Washington would continue to support Ukraine.
“The current administration has provided Ukraine with lethal weapons to defend against Russian aggression in the Crimea and the Donbass. We look forward to continuing a strong relationship with the President Zelensky and the Ukrainian people as they are faced with very serious problems at their Eastern border”, – explained the Advisor to trump.
In October 2018, the United States announced its intention to suspend the performance signed in 1987 INF Treaty after the Russian army cruise missile 9М729. According to the Americans, 9М729 was tested on a range of more than 500 km.
February 1, 2019, the Secretary of state Mike Pompeo announced the U.S. withdrawal from the INF Treaty. 2 February, Putin said that in response to the U.S. withdrawal from the INF Treaty it comes from Russia. On 3 July he signed a law to suspend the INF Treaty, the same day the document came into force. On 2 August the United States officially withdrew from the Treaty on the elimination of intermediate-range and shorter-range.
NATO said that the US allies in NATO fully support the Washington’s decision to withdraw from the INF Treaty and Russia is solely responsible for the termination of the document.
August 18, from the island of San Nicolas in California, the Pentagon launched cruise missile land-based traditional configuration. The missile was launched using the device of a vertical start Mark 41 and flew 500 miles, just hitting the target.
August 20, Deputy foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov said on the discharge by the Washington military tension after exit from the INF Treaty. He expressed regret over the rocket launch in the U.S. and stressed that in Russia “not to succumb to provocations”.
