Iryna Gerashchenko: Neither we, nor the Ukrainian foreign Ministry does not have the right to ignore it

In the report of the Office for democratic institutions and human rights (ODIHR) for the elections of the President of the Russian Federation there is no mention of them in annexed to the Crimea, said the first Vice-speaker of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Irina Gerashchenko at the conciliation Board, the correspondent of the Internet edition “GORDON”.
“Unfortunately, the second time a respected international organization that monitors elections – OSCE / ODIHR in its report on the presidential elections in Russia not a single word did not indicate a rigged election in Crimea. Thus, in fact, there is this creeping legalization of the rigged election. And, of course, neither we nor the Ukrainian foreign Ministry does not have the right to turn a blind eye”, – said Gerashchenko.
She added that in this regard the draft statement of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
“I’m going to ask [speaker of Parliament] Andriy Volodymyrovych Parubiy, and the leaders of all factions to sign this statement and this week, because the final report will be approved in a few days. And we have to be tough,” added the first Vice-speaker.
Presidential elections were held in Russia on March 18. They won by Vladimir Putin. OSCE representatives during the voting process in the annexed Crimea on watched.
On the eve of elections, the Ministry temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine has urged the Crimean people to ignore them, and the Crimean Prosecutor’s office has warned about criminal responsibility.
19 March, the European Union refused to recognize the results of the voting in the Crimea in the framework of the election of the President of Russia.
Today the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko said that the EU Council has approved sanctions against five individuals responsible for conducting the elections of the RF President in the Crimea.
