The best result among our compatriots showed Vita Semerenko with one penalty, she finished 22nd, behind the winner a minute and a half. Three positions lost to her Olena Pidhrushna, passed distance with one inaccurate shot.

Anastasiya Merkushyna, with one penalty, but with a cooling of almost two minutes became the 32nd, Jim and Julia double-oiled today and eventually finished the race outside the top 40. The last of the Ukrainians finished Iryna Varvynets – she is 58 with one stone “in milk”.

Recall that before the New year Yulia Jim took part in the Christmas race in Germany, which is traditionally held at the stadium “Schalke”.

The winner of the race was Anastasia Kuzmina, representing Slovakia. She made one mistake on the first firing line, but a misfire of competitors allowed her intermediate 12th place to first. Second place with one penalty took Finland’s Kaisa Makarainen and third went to Veronika Vitkova of the Czech Republic.

We will add that on the eve of the start of the stage the Norwegian biathlete Synneve Solemdal shocked a huge black eye. Four-time world champion collided with a skier while training in Lillehammer.
