In the Lviv region from the coronavirus has died, the chief of the Starosambirskyi center for primary health care Vasily Savenko. About this on his page in Facebook reported the press service of the Starosambirskyi district Council.

“In the face of Vasily Alexeevich we have lost a wonderful doctor, a specialist in their field, beautiful, ambitious, active leader, a trusted colleague and friend, a good mentor, a person with an active lifestyle. Vassily Savenko has headed primary care medicine in a turbulent time of reform and coped well with the challenge. He had many plans and ideas on how to continue to move forward, to serve the people”, – stated in the message.

On his page in Facebook the Deputy Minister of health of Ukraine Iryna Mikica wrote that Savenko died of coronavirus.

This year, Savenko was about to turn 60 years old. During the first stage of medical reform he headed the primary health care Centre in Staryj Sambor.

For 1 August in Ukraine was confirmed by 1112 new cases of infection with coronavirus infection. The total number of confirmed cases has reached 72 of 168, of which 1725 people died, 39 of 543 patients recovered.
