In one of the cathedrals of Britain, the altar is put “the last supper” with the black Christ. The picture was painted 11 years ago. In the Cathedral it is placed in a sign of solidarity with the movement Black Lives Matter.

In the St Albany Cathedral in the British County of Hertfordshire on the altar is placed a picture of Jesus Christ, whose dark skin. A painting is a variation on the theme of Leonardo da Vinci’s the last supper, writes Daily Mail.

The painting appeared in support of the movement Black Lives Matter (black Lives mattered). Consent to the placing of this painting was given by the rector of the Cathedral.

The work itself was written in 2009 by artist Lorna may Wadsworth. The sitter was a resident of Jamaica.

“Black lives are important, so we made our Altar Banished to a place of reflection and prayer, putting at the center of the altarpiece, written by Lorna,” said the Abbot.

The author of the picture did not believe that Christ have to be solely with fair skin.
