Wolfsburg lost to Shakhtar in the first leg of the 1/8 finals of the Europa League

The UEFA Executive Committee announced June 17 that all the matches of playoffs of the Europa League starting from the 1/4 final stage will be held in Germany, reported the press service of the Union.
Games will be held in Cologne, Gelsenkirchen, Duisburg and Dusseldorf, the final will take Cologne on August 21.
The final decision on the venue of the return matches of 1/8 finals, which were postponed due to the outbreak of coronavirus, is still pending. Meetings will be held either on the fields of teams who conducted the first game on the road, or on one of the German stadiums that are defined for the playoffs. Thus, match Shakhtar Donetsk and Wolfsburg, who originally was to be held in Kharkov on March 19 might take in Germany. The first meeting on the pitch for Wolfsburg, the Champions of Ukraine won with the score 2:1.
The 1/8 finals will take place on 5-6 August. A pair of “Milan” (Italy) – Getafe (Spain) and Sevilla (Spain) – “Rum” (Italy) will determine the quarterfinalist in a single match (in March, these teams are unable to meet due to the closure of the borders of Italy and Spain).
