In the first three months 2020 revenues from exports of ferrous metals fell by 15% compared to last year.
Metallurgical plants of Ukraine since the beginning of the current year reduced earnings from export of ferrous metals by 14.8% in comparison with January-March 2019. This year it amounted to 2,058 billion, according to the State fiscal service.
However, their share of revenues from exports of ferrous metals in total exports of the country is of 16.79%.
According to the report, revenue from export of metal products for the period decreased by 16.7% compared to the same period of 2019 to 213,8 million dollars, and is 1,74% of the total exports of the country. It is also reported that in January-March, Ukraine imported ferrous metals 223 million dollars of metal – on-196,5 million dollars.
Earlier it was reported that Ukraine has accelerated the decline in steel production. In January-March 2020, it decreased by 3%.
It was also reported that by the end of February Ukraine has worsened position in the world ranking of steel producers, down one position – 13.
