In Russia detained a citizen of Japan, who allegedly tried to obtain secret documents about the Russian military potential.

After the incident, the Japanese diplomats accredited in Russia, the foreign Ministry said the protest, RIA Novosti reported.

“25 December 2019 while trying to obtain classified material about the Russian military potential in the far East of the Russian law-enforcement agencies in Vladivostok detained a citizen of Japan”, – stated in the message.

It is noted that the Russian Ministry was called the Counsellor of the Embassy of Japan in Moscow. Foreign diplomats handed over a protest note. It is known that the Japanese came to Russia on a journalistic visa.
