The Cabinet discussed the eHealth system

Vice Prime Minister – Minister of digital transformation of Ukraine Mikhail Fedorov, together with the Minister of health Soranou Skaletsky agreed on a common plan for the development of an eHealth system, reports the October 1, press service of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.
“It is important to join efforts of authorities and private business, and international partners to make effective decisions that contribute to the development of e-medicine. We have a clear plan of action that should be executed on time. As well as appointed responsible for each item, so no delay or excuse,” said Fedorov.
The action plan includes 14 steps, among which – development of the concept of e-health, an audit of existing information systems and registers in the health sector and definition of the implementation plan of standards for the storage and transmission of medical information.
“It is extremely important that we have a unified vision of how to move forward and work together to continue the healthcare reform, which еНealth is an important component,” said Skaletsky.
19 October 2017, the Verkhovna Rada adopted in General the draft law No. 6327 on health reform. According to the document, the state guarantees full payment for the expense of the state budget of Ukraine of necessary medical services and medicines related to the provision of emergency medical care, primary, secondary (specialized), tertiary, palliative care, medical rehabilitation, medical care to children up to 16 years, as well as accompany pregnancy and childbirth. The law came into force on 30 January 2018.
The first phase of health reform began on 2 April 2018. At this stage, the Ukrainians chose the family doctor and signed with him the Declaration.
Electronic health system eHealth – Ukrainian information and telecommunication system that provides automation of accounting of medical services and management of health information in electronic form. The system is being implemented in the framework of health reform and the first stage to include primary care medicine. The functioning of the eHealth provides the national health service.
