Total amount of losses from the may floods in Transcarpathia exceeded half a billion hryvnia. On 13 June, announced the press service of the Transcarpathian regional state administration.

“Regional services have completed work on establishing the damage from flooding that has covered Transcarpathia 20-25 may. The total amount of funds required to restore social infrastructure, road and water sector amounted to more than 500 million UAH”, – told the press service.

According to the acting Chairman of regional state administration Yaroslav Galas, the greatest damage suffered by the objects of municipal property. In particular, the seven areas you need to restore the object 204 for a total amount of 352,3 million. We are talking about the blurry roads destroyed and damaged Bank protection, silted rivers, damaged bridges and bridge crossings and so on.

It is noted that part of the necessary funds already allocated from the reserve funds of the regional and district budgets.

At the end of may in the West of Ukraine was heavy precipitation, which led to the exit of the river banks and flooding homes. Two people were killed – 10-year-old boy in Transcarpathia and 62-year-old man in the Carpathian region.
