The representative of BP on human rights Lyudmila Denisova, who previously made a statement on the exchange of prisoners between Ukraine and Russia, will meet with the ambassadors of the EU and inform about the situation with visiting Ukrainian political prisoners in the Russian Federation.
About Denisov said in the program “Tomorrow” on the TV channel “112 Ukraine”.
“On 2 July at 14:00 I meet with the ambassadors of the European Union and I’ll tell them about your trip (in Russia – ed.), agreements between the two presidents,” – said Denisov.
The Ombudsman added that bilateral agreements on visits to prisoners in Russia and Ukraine have failed due to the fact that Russia was not interested in this and did everything to derail the process.
“Unfortunately, this mission did not take place. Because, I think, Russia was not going to perform the guarantees that were given to me … that is President Putin,” – said Denisov.

She also recalled that the Russian Ombudsman Tatyana Moskalkova had a chance to visit sailors from the ship “Nord”, but did not use this opportunity.
“She could visit the 7 sailors from the ship “Nord”, but then they (the Russian Federation) did not comply with any obligation which was assumed to ensure that I met with one of our political prisoners (in Russia – ed.)”, – summed up Denisov.
