One of the anonymous letters came to SBU

On 1 July, the security Service of Ukraine (SBU) and the national police have received anonymous letters threatening to kill hostages in the children unless paid $350 million reported by the SBU.

Both law enforcement agencies are working together to clarify the information received.

“Law enforcement officers, among others, checks the version about possible fraudulent activity, because left by the anonymous list of children contained on the official website of “tracing children.” Two of them are already found, the facts of their abduction was not confirmed”, – stated in the message.

In SBU noted that Netpolice opened criminal proceedings on signs of the crimes provided by articles 146 (illegal imprisonment or kidnapping), 147 (hostage-taking) and 189 (extortion) of the Criminal code of Ukraine.
