The Minister of youth and sport Igor Zhdanov, Minister of infrastructure Vladimir Omelian intend to ask the Solomenskiy district court of Kyiv to give them bail to the former Deputy of the Verkhovna Rada from the “popular front” Mykola Martynenko. This is what the members of the Cabinet of Ministers told the press before the trial, reports the Agency “Ukrainian news”.
“I’ve already got bailed out Yuri Sirotyuk (former people’s Deputy from “Freedoms”. – “GORDON”), and he attended all hearings. I think Martynenko will not fail us if we take him on bail,” – said Zhdanov.
His intention, in addition to Omelyana, supported by MP Mykola knyazhytsky from the faction “people’s front”.
In addition, the court to support Martynenko, arrived the Minister of education Lilia Hrynevych, the deputies from the “popular front” Georgy Logvynsky, Leonid Yemets and Pavel Pynzenyk.
Specialized anti-corruption Prosecutor’s office demands to arrest him for 60 days with an alternative of Deposit of 300 million UAH.
According to the head of the Specialized anti-corruption Prosecutor’s office of Nazar Golodnitsky, Martynenko could face up to 12 years of imprisonment.
Martynenko was detained in the evening of 20 April. He announced the suspicion of committing crimes under part 1 of Art. 255 (creating criminal organization), part 5 article 191 (assignment, waste of property or taking to them by abuse of official position) the Criminal code of Ukraine. Former MP suspected of abuse in the execution of the contract of purchase and sale of uranium concentrate to SE “VostGOK” across the Austrian intermediary company Steuermann.
