Ukraine has proposed to legalize crypto-currencies

Deputies of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine has proposed a bill to legalize the cryptocurrency circulation in the country. On Wednesday, October 11, UNIAN reports.

“The purpose of the bill is the provision of an official status of cryptocurrency regulation of legal relations in its handling, storage, possession, use and holding of cryptocurrency operations in Ukraine”, — stated in the materials to the document.

The function of the state regulation of the market of digital money will perform the national Bank of Ukraine. “This bill will help to attract multimillion-dollar international investments in Ukraine for the development of small, medium and large businesses, which in turn will positively affect the economic climate within the state, will strengthen the national currency and increase of GDP”, — the authors of the initiative.

Cryptocurrency will not be equated to means of payment, but will be the subject of ownership, to be exchanged for other goods or services . The government will not carry to the owners of digital money no obligation and does not guarantee the operation cryptanalytic exchanges.

On 10 October the President of Russia Vladimir Putin said about cryptocurrency risks: they can be used for money laundering, tax evasion, financing of terrorism and the proliferation of fraudulent schemes.

In April of this year, Japan legalized most common digital currency — bitcoin.
