Russian Prosecutor demands to sentence the defendant in the case “Hizbut-Tahrir” Ruslan Zeitullaev, who on 4 April announced an indefinite hunger strike, to 17 years imprisonment. About this Facebook said the human rights activist Eden Semelai.
According to him, today the court, which is held in Rostov-on-don, the prosecution asked to admit Zeitullaev guilty of “organizing activity of a terrorist organization” (paragraph 1 of article 205.5 of the Russian Criminal code) and sentenced him to 17 years imprisonment.

The journalist “the New newspaper” Anton NumLock on the page in Facebook wrote that Zeitullaev looks exhausted.
“Looks emaciated, but holding tight. Lawyers urged to quit the hunger strike, but Ruslan refused before the verdict”, – he wrote.
NumLock noticed that according to the certificate of the medical service of the prison, “as Zeitullaev satisfactory medical contraindications for participation in the trial, no weight is 55 kg, the diagnosis – basic starvation”.
The court allowed Zeitullaev to pronounce the last word sitting.

In January 2015 in the case of the organization “Hizb ut-Tahrir” in the Crimea were arrested Ruslan Zeitullaev, Nuri Primov, Mr Rustem Vahitov in April – Ferat saifullaev in February 2016 – Emir-Usein cook, Enver Bekirov, Muslum Aliyev and Vadim Ciroc in may – Sewri Abseitov, Ramsey Memetov, Rustem Abilitare and Enver Mamutov.
29 December in Moscow held a hearing on appeals in the case of “Hizb ut-Tahrir”. Russia’s Supreme court overturned the verdict against Zeitullaev sentenced for alleged organization of the cell “Hizb ut-Tahrir”, and upheld the verdicts against Primova, Vaitova and Sayfullaeva to five years of imprisonment. Case Zeitullaev sent on new consideration in Severo-the Caucasian district military court in Rostov.
On 4 April he announced an indefinite hunger strike. Zeitullaev demands end to persecution of Crimean Tatars and transfer it to Ukraine.
