The number of victims of massive flooding in Vietnam rose to 54 people. On 13 October, Channel NewsAsia reported, citing the Agency on disaster prevention.

Previously it was known on 37 of the victims.

In the floods 39 people have gone missing in the Northern and Central regions of Vietnam, 317 homes were destroyed, another 34 thousand – flooded. The disaster also damaged 22 hectares of rice fields and resulted in the deaths of 180 thousand animals.

The reason for natural disasters in the country were struck Vietnam heavy rains. Within a few days dropped out to 400 mm of precipitation. In addition, the flood affected seven of the 77 provinces of Thailand.
