In Japan under the Japan Car of The Year was chosen the best car. The leader for the first time in three years was not “Japanese”, and the Swedish Volvo XC60 crossover new generation, writes NDTVAuto.

The winner was chosen by an expert jury, which consisted of six people. The crossover got in the voting with 294 points.

The second position was occupied by the BMW 5-Series (sedan/wagon) with 242 points, and closes the three leaders of Toyota Camry (232 points).

Next on the list are Suzuki Swift (210), Honda N-Box/N-Box Custom (189), Lexus LC (115), Alfa Romeo Giulia (89), Mazda CX-5 (83), Citroen C3 (35 points) and Volkswagen Tiguan (11).
