SK the Russian Federation has transferred in court business against the Russians who fought in “Azov”

According to the Russian investigators, Roman Zheleznov in 2014 has arrived in Ukraine and voluntarily entered into the composition of the Ukrainian battalion “Azov”

The Investigative Committee of Russia completed the investigation of the criminal case against Russian citizen Roman Zheleznov, who is in absentia accused of committing a crime under part 3 of article 359 of the criminal code (participation of mercenaries in armed conflict). About it reports a press-service of the Russian authorities.

According to the investigation, Roman Zheleznov in 2014 has arrived in Ukraine and voluntarily entered into the composition of the Ukrainian battalion “Azov”.

As noted, in the period from 2014 to 2016, the Russians, together with other soldiers of the unit participated in the fighting in the South-East of Ukraine.

“At present, Roman Zheleznov continues to be outside of the Russian Federation”, – stated in the message.

Earlier it was reported that court of Belarus sentenced the resident of Vitebsk, a former soldier of the Ukrainian battalion “Azov” Stanislav Goncharov to seven years of imprisonment for “hooliganism” and inciting racial, national or religious hatred or the assistant to the President of the court in an interview to BelaPAN.

20-year-old Goncharov was arrested in April 2016, when he returned to Belarus after service in the battalion “Azov” on the side of Ukraine, where he allegedly served under the Callsign Belarusian.
