It is noted that among the victims of the attack, which occurred in Faryab province, ten children, two women and a man.

At the same time, it remains unclear whose mortar shell hit a residential building – government forces or radical Islamist group “Taliban”.

The armed forces of the United States 12 Aug denied reports that the result of an American airstrike on militants in Nangarhar province, Eastern Afghanistan, August 10, could be affected civilians. They assured that the strike was on the truck with the weapon, which was located in the middle of the field, so the attack could not lead to victims among the civilian population.

Earlier, Afghan authorities announced the death of 11 to 16 civilians by a U.S. airstrike on a controlled “Islamic state” territory.

According to the UN, the number of dead and wounded civilians in the air strikes in Afghanistan in the first half of this year increased by 43 percent compared to the same period in 2016.

We will remind, in Afghanistan the Taliban released 235 of the hostages.
