SBU has published information on the six mercenaries from Serbia, fought in the private military company “Wagner” in the Donbass

The security service of Ukraine publishes data on mercenaries participating in the fighting against the forces of ATO in the Donbass in the composition of private military companies (PMCs) “Wagner”, the press center of the SBU.

“We are aware that many foreigners involved in crime of this terrorist group,” – said the head of the SBU Basil Gritsak.

According to him, the data set on individuals who in the summer of 2014 were part of the PMC “Wagner” in Ukraine, and from August 2015 in Syria. Information is regularly transmitted SBU specslujbi foreign countries.

“The security service of Ukraine, with permission of the investigators to publish the personal data of six citizens of Serbia in respect of which collected incontestable proofs of participation in PMC “Wagner”, – stated in the message. According to Hrytsak, “this is only the beginning.”

In Serbia in 2014, criminalizes mercenary activities. SBU hopes that the information made public will help bring the criminals to justice.

PMC “Wagner” was founded by a native of Ukraine Dmitry Utkin. According to “Fontanka”, the company participated in the fighting in the Donbass on the party of separatists, in particular, in the battles for Debaltsevo. The Russian nationalist newspaper “Sputnik and Pogrom” wrote that PMC “Wagner” eliminate the known leaders of the separatists of Alexei Mozgovoy, Pavel Dremov, Alexander Bednova, Yevgeny Ishchenko and others.

In the spring of 2016 the media first reported that in the middle East, killing dozens of mercenaries PMC “Wagner”. Unit is in Syria in the autumn of 2015. In June 2017, the US imposed sanctions against the military campaign and Utkin.

The SBU established the involvement of Russian PMCs “Wagner” to the destruction of Il-76 in the Donbas and the storming of Luhansk airport in 2014, as well as to the events in debaltseve, Donetsk region in 2015. The Ukrainian secret service issued a notice of suspicion Dmitry Utkin.
