Due to the increase in public funding of cinema in Ukraine can withdraw more than 120 films in a year. About this Facebook said the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko.

“Increasing state funding of cinema, we have laid the Foundation to produce per year more than 120 films. I am sure that Ukrainian cinema is waiting for a bright future!” – wrote the President.

He noted that the first Ukrainian film-fantasy “Guard Outpost” bought in 27 countries.

In March 2017, the Verkhovna Rada adopted the bill No. 3081-d on state support of cinematography in Ukraine (with the amendments of the President). Under the law, broadcasters are required before 1 January 2022, a minimum of 15% of monthly time to show Ukrainian films and after January 1, 2022 at least 30%.

30 December 2017, the Prime Minister of Ukraine Vladimir Groisman said that in 2018 to support the cinema, the state will allocate 1 billion UAH.
