In France, for the first time in 100 years has killed the Matador

Spanish Matador Ivan Fandino was fatally shot during a performance at the festival in South-West France and died on the way to the hospital.

Born in the Basque Country Ivan Fandino participated in the festival of bullfighting in the French city of Aire-sur-l’adour, located in the region of New Aquitaine, near the border with Spain. He became the first bullfighter to be killed in France in the last 100 years .

Fandino Saturday twice entered the arena and managed to speak before he was mortally wounded.

The photos show that after being wounded he stood on his feet, but was bleeding.

In July last year, the 29-year-old Victor Barrio became the first Matador killed in Spain for 30 years. He was stabbed to death during a bullfight was broadcast live on television.

As reported by French newspaper Sud-Ouest, the last death of a Matador in France was recorded in 1921 in Beziers, when Isidoro Marie Fernando directly into the arena died.
